When the Boston MFA reached out looking for a projection to be shown at the entrance to their new gallery opening, I was tasked with bringing Turner’s paintings to life. Right before the current advent of AI tools, I had to hand paint out and layer his paintings, create faux camera movements, and use hand created ink bleeds to breath life into his work.
